chequer screen in the aesthetic taste printed
and painted in bright colours. Most unusually
for Sherwin's this is overglaze printed and
painted, the design has been noted before with
underglaze decoration so perhaps the colours of
this were not obtainable underglaze, certainly
they are bright and unusual colours. Verso very clean, some rust stain, printed
pattern and design registration numbers.
