Very light surface marks, very tiny/minute
chips/wear to the outline Style: Built
landscape One of a series of majolica landscapes from
Burmantoft nicely moulded and finished with
cobalt blue and turquoise glazes. Modelled by
Harold Leach whose monogram is at bottom right.
Apparently made as a pure decorative object,
paperwieght or pot stand it is rather thick and
weighty for a tile (although Burmantoft's
moulded tiles tend to be rather substantial) and
the side edges are fully glazed which is not
something that can happen unintendedly. Verso very clean, unmarked, patent
'propellor' lock pattern.
