Some very tiny glaze losses to the rim, very
minimal for a teapot stand, surface is very near
perfect, quite amazing for a teapots stand! Style/technique: Pictorial
handpainted A pottery piece from a tile specialist
although Maw & Co dabbled in a little
pottery more of the bold art pottery genre. This
one of the few all in one purpose made teapot
stand patterns, for example Mintons Ltd who made
more than anyone else used separate feet stuck
on to a tile like biscuit. These from Maw look
almost as nice upside down as the feet are so
nicely moulded. A nice rustic view, mill pond with the mill
and wheel in the background. A similar design is
found printed by Stoke on Trent tile makers.
