Incredible hand decorated Arts &
Crafts movement tiles in an excellent rich
blue and with a highly brilliant glaze the
design revealled in white and further shaded
with a sponged or perhaps sprayed effect. The
design is full of life and fills the entire
tile, a pattern that is excellent as a
standalone tile yet works superbly as a
repeat in any orientation. Designed and
decorated by Charles Henry Temple on a Maw
& Co blank, similar tiles noted on Craven
Dunnill blanks so those presumed later, after
Temple left the employ of Maw & Co in
1906.
