A very full yet bright aesthetic design the central vignette of a young woman wearing a large hat with fruiting branches in the background. The vignette perched in a japanesque blossoming branch with stylised floral and cracked ice borders above and below further surrounded by circular borders and foliate motifs in the corners. Quite amazing how they squeezed it all in a yet still retained a clean bright look.

Malkins though a not well recognised name were a great company, they produced super designs in the popular styles and mediums for several decades.

Very small chip top left corner and another on the tope edge, tiny chip top right corner and another on the top edge. Surface is near perfect, a very nice clean tile.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
